Matt black absorbs the ambient light entirely: no glare off the trim plate, no sheen on the 380 mm arm. This concealed shower system disappears into the wall, leaving only the 140 x 190 mm plate, the handset and the rain head — available in a 300 or 400 mm diameter — standing proud.

The body is solid brass with a ceramic cartridge. Silicone anti-limescale nozzles release deposits under a fingertip. The matt black finish is treated to withstand permanent humidity without dulling.

A 2-way selector switches between the rain head and the 200 mm hand shower on its 1500 mm hose. The concealed mixer sets flow and temperature from the wall, with nothing protruding into the enclosure.

Against white marble or dark grey large-format porcelain, matt black makes a clean, settled contrast. The rough-in box supplied gives a tidy fit into a standard stud wall.

Three things shape the decision. First, the wall type — stud, block or brick — which determines whether the rough-in box will fit as supplied. Second, the head diameter against the size of the enclosure: a 400 mm head wants generous ceiling height to fall well. Third, the finish, which should be coordinated with the rest of the brassware. It is also worth confirming available pressure: below 2 bar, a large rain head can feel weak.
