Brushed Gold Thermostatic Shower Column with Shelf and 254 mm Rain Head

A vertical 304 stainless riser in brushed gold carries the shelf-mounted thermostatic mixer, the 254 mm rain head and the hand shower. The fine brushed grain picks up light gently across every visible part, and the satin gold tone runs unbroken from the base of the riser to the head. Height adjusts from 750 to 1100 mm.

The valve body is brass; the riser and cover plates are 304 stainless steel. Head and handset are ABS, the cartridge ceramic and the hose 1.5 m PVC. The brushed gold PVD coating resists discolouration and permanent humidity.

The thermostatic mixer holds the selected temperature independently of pressure swings on the supply. A shelf 310 mm wide and 60 mm deep is built into the mixer with a 3-way control: rain head, hand shower and changeover between the two. Inlet centres adjust from 130 to 170 mm, 150 mm standard.

Brushed gold pairs with beige porcelain, cream marble and limestone. Against white ceramic tiles or light grey porcelain it adds a warm note that gives the shower wall structure with nothing else added.

What is the difference between a thermostatic shower and a manual mixer shower?

A thermostatic column holds the temperature you set even when supply pressure moves. A manual column has to be reset by hand every time. Thermostatic control is the safer choice in a household with children or older users, because it rules out a sudden surge towards hot when another outlet is opened.
