Concealed Shower System with 550 x 220 mm Rain and Waterfall Head

Two square handles and a three-position selector — that is all that stays visible once this concealed shower system is set into the wall. The 290 x 130 mm control plate finishes flush with the tile surface, with no boss and no exposed fixings.

The mixer body is brass, recessed into the wall, with silicone anti-limescale nozzles at the outlets. The finish is treated to take permanent humidity without shifting in tone. Rubbing the nozzles with a finger is enough to release limescale deposits.

The 550 x 220 mm head delivers two modes: a wide rainfall over the shoulders and a focused waterfall for the neck. The 200 mm rectangular hand shower is brought in through the three-way selector. Installation follows the standard convention, hot on the left and cold on the right.

Against white Calacatta marble or anthracite polished concrete, the trim plate gives a clear visual marker without dominating the wall. It works equally well with dark grey porcelain wall tiling.

What should you check before choosing a concealed shower system?

Wall construction decides feasibility first: stud, block and brick do not take the same rough-in box. The head area then needs to be proportionate to the enclosure — a 550 x 220 mm head wants at least 2.2 m of ceiling height for the spray to fall coherently. Supply pressure matters too: below 2 bar the waterfall mode loses intensity. Finally, the finish should follow the rest of the brassware, so that basin mixer, waste and trap read as one scheme rather than three.
